Day 1Cusco In - City Tour

Upon your arrival in Cusco, we will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. After some rest for acclimatization, we will start our city tour at 14:00 hours. Our first stop will be the Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), an ancient Inca site that became the Convento de Santo Domingo. We will then visit Sacsayhuamán, a massive cultural complex offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city.

Next, we will explore Qenko, a place used for ceremonial purposes, and Pucapucara, a former military post. Afterward, we will take a break to drink the “Inca tea” and then head to Tambo Machay, an ancient site for water worship. Before returning to the hotel, we will stop at a local craft center to enjoy a refreshing Inca tea.

Day 2 Sacred Valley Tour

We will begin the day with a scenic drive to the Sacred Valley of the Incas at 8:30 AM. First, visit the town of Pisac, known for its colorful market and colonial architecture. You will have time to explore the town and, if it’s a Sunday, we will witness the misa en quechua (Mass in Quechua).

Continue through picturesque towns like Coya, Lamay, Calca, and Urubamba before reaching Ollantaytambo. This ancient Inca town boasts an impressive ancient site, which was once an agricultural, military, and religious hub.

After our guided tour, we will enjoy a buffet lunch before heading back to Cusco, with a stop at Chinchero on the way. Chinchero is famous for its beautiful Inca terraces and colonial church.

Day 3Full-Day Excursion to Machu Picchu

We will start early by picking you up from your hotel and transferring you to Ollantaytambo station. From there, we will board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes. The scenic train ride will take around 1.5 hours to reach this town at the base of Machu Picchu.

Once we arrive, we will take a 30-minute bus ride to the Machu Picchu archaeological site. Our guide will take you on an exciting tour of the Inca citadel, where you will learn about its history, sacred temples, and impressive ruins. After the tour, we will have some free time to explore on your own.

In the afternoon, we will head back to Aguas Calientes for lunch before taking the train to Ollantaytambo. From there, we will return to Cusco by bus.
