We will arrive in Tarapoto and transfer to the selected hotel. Free time will allow us to explore at our own pace. We will enjoy the first night in comfort, preparing for an exciting adventure. Rest and recharge for the days ahead.

We will have breakfast before visiting Laguna Azul, a stunning lake with blue waters and lush green forests. A scenic journey of 54 kilometers will take us to this serene lagoon. We will have time for swimming, kayaking, or simply admiring the landscape. A peaceful evening will follow back at the hotel.

Our next adventure will take us to the Ahuashiyacu Waterfalls, only 14 kilometers from Tarapoto. We will walk through the jungle, listening to birds and feeling the mist of the falls. The crystal-clear pool beneath the cascade will invite us for a refreshing swim. The evening will be at leisure, with another restful night at the hotel.

After breakfast, we will enjoy a free day to explore Tarapoto at our own rhythm. We may choose to visit coffee farms, hike hidden trails, or relax in the city. This flexible day will allow us to experience local culture and flavors. Another comfortable night will ensure we are well-rested.

On the final day, after breakfast, we will prepare for departure. At the appropriate time, we will transfer to the airport. This journey through Tarapoto’s natural beauty and thrilling experiences will stay with us forever. We will leave with memories of waterfalls, lagoons, and rainforest adventures.

Day 1 TARAPOTO IN

We will arrive in Tarapoto, a vibrant jungle city, and transfer to our selected hotel. This welcoming town sits in the heart of the San Martín region, surrounded by lush rainforest and rolling hills.

Have free time to explore or relax. We may stroll through the city center, visit the Plaza de Armas, or taste delicious Amazonian dishes. In the evening, we will rest in comfort and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2FULL DAY A LAGUNA AZUL

We will start the day with a delicious breakfast before setting off on a journey to Laguna Azul. We will travel 54 km south on the Marginal Sur highway and cross the Huallaga River on a floating raft at Puerto López.

The route has amazing views of the Amazon rainforest, with tropical birds, giant trees, and various animals. After a 45-minute drive, we will arrive at Laguna Azul, a beautiful lake surrounded by lush jungle hills.

We will take a boat ride across the lake, feeling the gentle breeze and admiring the deep blue waters. We may swim, kayak, or simply relax by the shore. We will enjoy a traditional Amazonian lunch at a lakeside restaurant with juanes, grilled fish, and exotic fruits.

In the afternoon, we will return to Tarapoto, enjoying the changing landscapes along the way. The evening will be free for leisure.

Day 3TOUR A LAS CATARATAS DE AHUASHIYACU

After breakfast, we will visit the stunning Ahuashiyacu Waterfalls, 14 km east of Tarapoto on the Yurimaguas road.

A scenic drive through the Cordillera Escalera Reserve will reveal towering mountains and rich biodiversity. When we arrive, we will take a short 15-minute walk through the jungle, hearing birds and flowing water.

The Ahuashiyacu Falls cascade from 40 meters high, forming a natural pool of refreshing, crystal-clear water. We will have time to swim, take photos, or relax by the rocks while enjoying the cool mist.

At 1:00 PM, we will return to the hotel for a free afternoon. We may choose to explore Tarapoto’s handicraft markets, visit a chocolate factory, or relax by the pool.

Another option is river tubing on the Mayo River, floating through the jungle and seeing exotic birds and monkeys. The day will end with a relaxing night at the hotel.
