Day 1

Early Morning Departure from Cusco

We will begin our Machu Picchu day trip from Cusco with an early start to ensure a full day of exploration. Our private transportation will take us to the train station, depending on the schedule. The drive through the Sacred Valley, with peaks over 4,200 meters (13,780 feet), will offer panoramic views of the Andes.

At the station, we will board the train and enjoy a scenic ride along the Urubamba River. This train ride features breathtaking views of the lush valley, ancient terraces, and towering mountains. Comfortable seats and large windows will allow us to fully appreciate the journey.

Arrival at Aguas Calientes and Guided Tour of Machu Picchu

When we arrive at Aguas Calientes (2,040 meters or 6,692 feet), we will take a short shuttle to Machu Picchu. As we ascend, the lush greenery and towering peaks will build anticipation. We will meet our expert tour guide and start exploring Machu Picchu, an Inca citadel at 2,430 meters (7,972 feet).

We will discover key sites, including the Sun Temple, the Intihuatana Stone, and the Room of the Three Windows. Our guide will explain the engineering marvels and ceremonial significance of these structures. Walking through the agricultural terraces and urban areas, we will witness the genius of Inca architecture.

Exploring Iconic Views and Immersing in History
